  2. Encourage users to share the tool with colleagues for collaboration.

User Goals:

  1. Share note with someone to contribute/review.

  2. Review can be commenting, suggesting, questioning, editing.

  3. The recipient needs to find the notes, identifying which were reviewed and which were not and by whom

User Research

Users use the Simple Practice platform for this type of collaboration

They conduct reviews to Provide constructive feedback to clinicians, Improve patient care quality, and Ensure information accuracy (They don’t trust the platform that much?)

What is essential?

  • Integration with patient records (Already done, I will talk to users to understand what more can be done)

  • Customization options (Already done through templates)

  • Privacy and Security

  • Standardized Models (Already done through templates)

  • Training and Support (Not sure what they want with this, I will talk to users to understand what more can be done)

Collaboration, Feedback, Comments, Review, Supervision, Peer, Help - 0 Mention inside this context

My focus and my practice is generally trauma and anxiety. And I also do a lot of supervision because I teach as well.

  • Supervisee - 1 Mention inside this context

Enable good counselors to continue to practice despite their inability to keep up with documentation then I support it a lot of times it's disability related so anyway that's mostly what I track now of course with my new uh supervisees um i also look at quality of notes because i have to make sure they'll be compliant um but that's pretty much all the tracking that i do that's it thanks a lot um uh

Customer Support

After analyzing the support tickets, there is no relevant information about users requesting collaboration functions via comments or similar.

Customer Support contain information about various issues reported by users related to the note generation process, with details on the urgency, status, user, and resolution times. I am looking for the Keywords "Feedback," "Collaboration," "Comments," "Review," "Supervision," "Supervisee," "Peer," "Help," "Track," and "Template," to analyze the relevant fields and descriptions and understand the context.

The filtered data contains 322 records related to the keywords. Here are some insights:

  1. Templates and Settings:

Several issues are related to "Templates," particularly in accessing options within the drop-down menu, indicating possible usability concerns.

  2. Note Quality & Generation:

Users have provided feedback on the functionality and errors encountered during the note generation process. There are mentions of improving AI-driven note templates, which ties into the keyword "Help" as users seek assistance in automating or enhancing their note-taking practices.

  3. Collaboration & Review:

Although not explicitly stated, some feedback hints at the need for better "Review" mechanisms, but this is more related to review it owns notes.

  4. Supervision & Peer:

Issues tied to "Supervision" or "Supervisee" are not directly mentioned, but the context of improving notes through collaborative features could benefit from incorporating these roles into the feature design.

  5. Help & Comments:

Users have expressed the need for more effective "Help" options, particularly when facing errors during the note generation process. The integration of in-app "Comments" could also enhance real-time feedback and communication within teams.

Design

Hyphotesis
  • If we provide users with the ability to share their session notes with selected professionals for feedback, then they will more actively seek peer input and improve the quality of their notes.

    • Measured by: The number of notes shared and reviewed.

  • If we offer this feature as part of the SUPER plan, then we will see an increase in the conversion rate to the SUPER plan.

    • Measured by: The conversion rate of users upgrading to the SUPER plan.

Adjusted Fake Door Test Structure
  • Feature Name: Collaboration

  • Description: Allow supervisors to review and comment on the notes of supervised clinicians, facilitating constructive feedback and improving the quality of care.

Engagement Metrics:

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): Percentage of users who click the button out of the total users who see it.

  • Conversion Rate: Percentage of users who sign up for the interview out of those who clicked the button.

Thresholds for Success:

  • CTR Target: A high CTR (e.g., 25% or more) indicates significant interest in the feature.

  • Conversion Rate Target: A conversion rate of 20% or higher from clicks to interview sign-ups suggests strong interest.

  • Interview Sign-Up Goal: Aim for at least 20 sign-ups to proceed with interviews.

Analyzing Results

  • Data Interpretation: Review CTR, conversion rate, and interview insights to assess user interest levels and needs.

  • Interview: With the users that sign-ups for interviews, understand the main objectives, needs, etc.

    • Target Number of Interviews:

      • Number of Interviews: Conduct 5-8 interviews, which aligns with UX research best practices. This sample size is typically sufficient to uncover 80% of problems and gather meaningful insights about user needs, behaviors, and expectations.

      • Why 5-8 Interviews? According to Nielsen Norman Group, after five interviews, you generally identify the majority of critical insights, with diminishing returns after that. Conducting up to eight interviews ensures you cover diverse perspectives without oversaturating the sample.

  • Decision: Use the quantitative data and qualitative insights to present the finds to stakeholders and determine if the feature should proceed to development.
